HCA Healthcare's LNA Training Program
Course Schedule
HCA Healthcare offers paid training for those interested in becoming certified nursing assistants. The course is divided into two sessions, day and night, and job placement is available upon successful completion of the course.
The day course lasts for six weeks, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; the night course lasts for six weeks, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. After completing the course, students will undergo three weeks of training at their hiring unit with an experienced LNA mentor.
Eligibility
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and hold a high school diploma or GED.
Employment Placement
After graduation, LNAs can be placed at any of HCA New England Healthcare's three hospitals - Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Frisby Memorial Hospital in Rochester, or Parkland Medical Center in Delhi.
LNA trainees are paid per diem during the program and can move to full-time status of 36 hours per week once their license is active. During their shifts, LNAs are trained in patient care such as helping patients with activities of daily living, measuring vital signs, checking blood sugar, performing EKGs, and removing catheters. In addition, Portsmouth Regional pays for students' final exams, which have a 100% pass rate.
