No experience? No problem! Company Paid Cdl Training with Sign on Bonus.
No one is born knowing how to drive a truck, and it takes more than just a CDL to become a professional truck driver. RE West specializes in providing employment opportunities in the trucking industry for those with little or no experience. RE West has been training drivers for over thirty years, and during that time, RE West has developed what we believe to be one of the best on-the-job training programs in the entire industry.
RE West believes our training program is an excellent path to becoming a professional truck driver for the following reasons:
RE West pays you for your training
That's right, RE West will pay you for your training. In addition to any signing bonuses you may be eligible for, RE West treats its trainees as employees and pays them throughout their training.
No Contracts or Additional Terms Required
RE West is completely transparent about the training process. If for some reason you fail to complete your training, the only thing RE West asks is that you return any signing bonus you may have received. You will not be asked to sign any type of contract or non-compete agreement to receive our training.
Successful Track Record
RE West's training program consistently produces the best young drivers in the industry. Many of the veteran drivers who have worked for RE West for many years were just like you, starting out with little to no experience and looking for better career opportunities. RE West's training instructors are all certified third-party testers in the state of Tennessee and are highly sought after for their training and testing abilities. They hold their trainees to the highest standards; you can rest assured that once you complete RE West's training program, you will be ready to hit the road.

If You Need a CDL...
So you've done your research and decided that becoming a professional truck driver is your next career choice. Don't go into debt just to get your CDL! RE West not only offers you a comprehensive and very successful training program, but also a job. RE West will pay for you to get your CDL and become a driver for our company. RE West won't make you sign a contract; RE West won't send you to someone else's school and then make you worry about tuition reimbursement. RE West will take you to our facility in Ashland, Tennessee, and train you from the ground up in the skills you need to get your CDL.
RE West's training program begins after you complete the hiring process. After you take a drug test and a physical, you'll go to a local testing facility in your state to apply for a CDL learner's permit. To get this permit, you'll need to pass a written test on several areas of knowledge about truck driving. RE West's recruiters will be happy to help you prepare for your permit test by providing study aids. In addition, RE West recommends using the CDL Pass software, which is available on iPhone, Android, and PC. This is paid software, however, RE West will reimburse you for the software once you come to work for RE West by providing us with proof of purchase.
After you receive your learner's permit, you will receive two weeks of intensive training with our instructors in the city of Ashland. Jerry and Amy will work with you in the classroom, at RE West's back-up courses, and on the road to prepare you for the pre-trip and skills portions of the CDL exam. Class sizes are kept small to ensure you get the one-on-one attention you need. RE West students have a success rate of over 90% in obtaining their CDLs; all you are required to do is follow your trainer's instructions and complete our process.
After you receive your CDL, you will complete your training with an on-road driving trainer. RE West's driving trainers are experienced veterans who are selected not only for their skills, but also for their ability to help inexperienced drivers improve. Together, you will study RE West's driver training manual. This manual will not only teach you the technical aspects of being a professional driver, but also the "soft" skills you need, such as learning how to live on the road, eating right, and time management.
You will spend a minimum of three weeks on the road with your driver trainer. At the end of this period, you will return to the city of Ashland and complete a final road test. Afterwards, you will be assigned a truck and join RE West's fleet as a full-fledged driver.
If you have a CDL but no experience...
If you are a driver who has obtained a CDL through truck driving school or self-study and tested by a third-party tester, but have less than 6 months of driving experience, RE West has a program to help you. Again, RE West starts with completing the hiring process. Once hired, RE West will work with you to assess your skill level and schedule you to attend RE West's on-site training program to review the basics or receive training from one of RE West's driver trainers. After training with a driver trainer, you will spend up to three weeks on the road studying our training manual. After completing training with a field trainer, you will take a final road test and then receive your own truck
What are you waiting for? Now is the time to start your new career!
The best way to get into the trucking industry is through our training programs. If you are ready to learn, work hard, and believe in yourself, RE West can help you launch a career that will help you and your family achieve financial stability and fulfillment.
