ABM Janitor Job Description
Job Summary Details: Janitors are responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas.
Salary: $16/hour.
Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Basic Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required, on-the-job training provided
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
Responsibilities:
• Clean and maintain building/facility
• Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Notify manager of need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
• Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Adhere to all safety, compliance and quality standards and procedures established by company, clients and regulatory agencies
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machinery and equipment
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas manually or using a cart
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaning agents, sponges and squeegees
• Wash and replace blinds
• Collect and empty trash
• Sweep sidewalks, rake leaves, mow grass, remove snow or perform other seasonal tasks
• Wipe and clean food area tabletops, chairs and equipment
• Maintain, clean and supply restrooms
